In line with the desire for a Balinese themed house with a touch of modernity, the rear of this house was extended to create an additional 465 square feet of interior space.
Non-structural walls separating the kitchen and dining areas were removed. The result? A wide, open concept dry kitchen with a counter for light cooking and a wet kitchen area at the back of the house for heavy cooking.
In the living room, the unique wall across the TV comprised a collection of boxes on the wall that doubles as storage spaces as well as a concealed door leading to the porch. The result is not just aesthetically engaging, but functional and highly practical as well.
